Besides a marketplace, the user (a Stuvian) gather points (Stuvi's) by certain tasks and activities, with which he or she earn badges and gain a Stuvia reputation (starting at assistent, junior, senior, director to partner). It's a new way of sharing knowledge. By providing the 'hard working' student with an incentive to share their knowledge (cash, reputation), other students are able to use summaries or lecture notes which otherwise wouldn't be available. Thereby, is Stuvia unique in its way of rewarding people, by giving them badges, Stuvi's and a reputation. Beside it gives Stuvia a fresh look, the rewards also provide users to socially interact, distinguish themselves from other users, and compete with each other (i.e. quality of documents, reputation). Next, the platform is free and open for everyone (even of you're not a student). This enables that former students, whom are already graduated, still can share their study material.
